"The mag that came with the gun came leaky and doesn't have an angled notch so you have to hold down the mag release to insert it and even then its super tight so I just use my co2 VFC glock mags and they slide in and lock up super smoothly. Besides the magazine the gun is incredible and feels sturdy as hell, I'll give another review after I've owned it longer.

"Only issue out of the box is the magazine that comes with the gun doesn't have an angled notch or whatever you call it so you have to hold down the magazine release to insert it and even then its a really tight fit. My co2 VFC glock mags have an angled notch so they fit right in with no problem and lock up perfectly. All around the gun feels sturdy, the blowback action is fantastic and the trigger is nice and snappy. I'll be giving another review later on after I'd had it longer and field it some more.

"for $179 its a decent gun, I like it quite a bit BUT there might be long term reliability concerns, the polymer body is fine but every ounce of metal in this gun besides the body pins and maybe the outer barrel looks like pot metal and it will eventually wear out but we'll see.

pros:
-snappy
-nice rate of fire
-looks good

cons:
-pot metal everything
-does not come with tri lug adapter shown in pictures
-charging handle grub screw will back out so it needs thread locker
-magwell is very tight
-magazine compatibility

"The EMG Angstadt Arms MDP9 GBB carbine truck gun is definitely an eye catcher. It looks and feels amazing in the hands. I purchased the butt stock & suppressor with this gun, and I"m glad I did. You really need that butt-stock support for an accurate shot.
The gun came in a "OK" box, but with the "Cheapy" looking white Styrofoam instead of the nicer looking black, with a black box and better graphic designs. The older ones a few years ago came with that kind of packaging. Vendors usually change the packaging to save penny's, ridiculous. It doesn't matter to some, I guess, but I'm' a collector as well, and like a nice box.

On with its Pros:

The gun looks identical to the firearm. Its markings are spot on accurate. The gun's size, shape, and weight are incredibly accurate to its counterpart.
The A/R grip style is cool and feels great....however It does need the accessories (suppressor, and butt stock) in my opinion.
The "fun switch" full auto is a blast . Take down and maintenance is easy.
Price is very very good.

Cons:

The first thing I noticed right away, was the terribly weak blow back. Weak and barely noticeable recoil is faint and very weak. This is due to bad internal valving, thus its great price. The YouTube review comments are always saying this guns magazine is inefficient, and can barely get through 1 mag without burning through all the gas, but that is simply not true. When I use the Angstadt magazine in my Glock 19 gen 3, it can make it through 4 mags before having to gas it up again. That tells you something about the Glock's design, engineering, and construction in comparison of the MDP9's valving, blow-back nozzle, piston, and bolt design. I could understand its terrible gas consumption if it was a hard kicking GBB, but that's certainly not the case with the MDP9. The blow-back is so disappointing, for a GBB SMG Carbine , unlike hard kicking GBB's like the H & K MP 7, or the MP9, which both rock with incredible Blowback action with gas efficiency.

Would I buy the MDP-9, knowing what I know now, ....no. I would wait, save a little more money, and buy a KWA, or PMX.
I dont regret buying the MDP-9, still a fun gun for more of a younger, novice level air-softer.
