EMG Licensed Rifle Dynamics AK Airsoft AEG Rifle by CYMA (Model: RD-701 / Built-In Tracer)

"Ok so I ran this through it's paces this past weekend, about 5K rounds and it worked flawlessly!! I used an 11.1V lipo with 25g and 28g bb's and it kept up. Shoots straight and far. Only minor issue was fire selector was little loose, easy fix with a screwdriver. Would highly recommend, great rifle!!

"I haven't fielded it yet, but I have shot it in my backyard. It shot accurately at 50ft, I didn't shoot it any further though due to lack of space. I don't have tracer bbs, so I cannot speak for the tracer unit quality.

Enough on the performance, let's talk about the externals. Starting at the back and moving out way forward, with the stock. The stock is one of the best I've seen. It feels premium and heavy, and it feels very ergonomic. It even has a small compartment for storing snacks, or a dead rag.

The buffer tube is full metal, and high quality. Not much special about it. Aside from the fact that it can be completely removed, revealing a picitanny rail segment on the rear of the receiver.

The receiver and midsection is one of the best parts of this gun. The receiver is fully metal, with the pistol grip being polymer.

The slide is by far the worst part of this gun. It is terrible. Maybe I got a lemon, but mine keeps getting caught and no matter what I do, it will just not pull back smoothly. Not a huge issue, just very annoying when trying to do something cool. The slide pulls back to reveal a sliding hopup. The hopup itself is nothing special, and it works as expected. The thing that sets this gun apart from others, however, is the internal tracer unit. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard good things.

Moving a little south, we have the selector switch, which really shouldn't get it's own paragraph, but the last one was looking a little long. It's just like any other AK style selector switch, and it has the middle set to full auto, and safety on the bottom.

The sights are standard AK irons, nothing special. Full metal again, and they have the easy zeroing of AK sights.

The handguard is plastic, but it's solid. Nothing interesting about it. The outer barrel has a weird texture that I absolutely hate, but I don't feel it, so it doesn't really bother me. The threads are 14mm negative, but they come stock with a hideous bright orange flash hider glued to them. It can be removed with some plyers, without too much damage to the threads.

In conclusion, I give this gun a 9.5 out of 10 in everything I have used it for.

I have the longest version and it shoots pretty straight for a stick gun
Seems like it should be shooting a little harder but has ok range again for stock, easy to change that

"I just received this gun yesterday for Christmas, so I can't say much for the performance on the field, but I can speak for the beautiful external quality and accuracy of the gun.

Pros.
Externals are the most beautiful I've seen on a gun
Very solid build.
Accurate
Very maneuverable when the stock is folded.

Cons.
Battery can be hard to install. Not a big deal though.

This is my first ak, and I can say I probably won't be going back to m4's. there is just something so awesome about holding this thing.
